The family that owns Can Matá shifted its vision to make their home a working farm again and so much has changed since then. The starting point for this project was to create a richer and healthier soil to provide nutrient-dense food without negative impacts on the surrounding environment. The main crops include several types of fruits for the production of dried fruit products; 17 types of chillies for the production of delicious chilli oils and salt; and 7000 raspberries intercropping with Vetiver plant. The farm also includes a garden for the family’s private use, olive groves and a beautiful natural swimming pool. There are happy chickens roaming around the farm and some donkeys, all-living in perfect harmony.
